Well-established and sought-after artist Bridget Flannery will have her inaugural exhibition at the Royal Hibernian Academy, Ashford Gallery in Dublin, 25 October to 10 November 2001. For more information on her exhibition of crisply textured mixed media abstracts on wood panels entitled 'The Possibilities of Stillness', you can contact www.royalhibernianacademy.com. Upon viewing this exhibit Alannah Hopkin wrote, "Abstract art is often spoken of as the spiritual art of our time. Bridget Flannery's work speaks - wordlessly, and with out recognisable images - of shared experience: the intoxication of wide open maritime space and its obverse; with their unspoken fears, their intuitve convictions."
