BIRTH OF THE FOREST
JEZEL ART
In the 'Champs' (Fields), 'Palmiers' (Palms), and ‘Feu de Terre' (Fire Earth), the eye imperatively encounters a vertical plane which only blocks the horizon. However in Jezels'  'Waterfalls' and 'Tempête' (Storm), the space is filled and nature is at her finest, abounding, undulating, however the perspective is blocked: Nature stays inviolated, guarding preciously her innocence surrounded by mystery. ‘La source’ (The Source), a garden enveloped in darkness and the mystery of the night, like a grotto filled with vibrantly moving flora. ‘Champs’ (Fields) embracing the sunshine and a hint of hieratic ‘Palmiers’ (Palms) in a jungle whose romanticism is not without evoking the mists of C.D.Friedrich. Jezel opens the door to a strange universe, or purified after a series of cosmic cataclysms. For it is exactly the different 'facets of nature' Jezel offers us with lyrical gestures, that suggests a profound contemplation of the reality in landscapes. Jezel also takes us into a new dimension were we encounter the mysteries of creation; ‘Naissance de l’île’ (Birth of an Island), 'Naissance de la Mer” (Birth of the Sea) and 'Naissance de la Fôret’ (Birth of the Forrest), that leaves us with souvenirs and sensations of purity.  Jezel chooses to express with a limited pallet of green, blue and yellow; however, she moderates it into a multitude of tones in order to achieve the features that best express her realism within.
