My work aims to reconcile and clash belief systems like science and the supernatural.
Sometimes I try to fuse Ancient Egyptian beliefs about life, death and the afterlife with
contemporary science.
I search to locate mythologies like ‘progress’ within the history of science and to make religious
imagery scientific.
I am very curious about the ground where science and ethics intersect, and I am intrigued by the
way in which aesthetics and morality can collide.
Use of the ‘traditional’ medium of watercolour is deliberate -- I can draw a surprising edge out of
this relatively unexplored media.
I seek parity between the technical developments in my work and the ideas they serve.
