CATHERINE JANE RYAN
I am a professional artist living and working in Kinsealy, Co. Dublin, Ireland. Coming from an artistic background I have developed my own distinctive use of colour, pattern and texture which expresses and reflects my authentic creative voice. Spontaneity, inspiration and imagination play an important role in this process.
As well as undertaking numerous artwork commissions, I have been involved in the area of colour consultancy and have designed new colour schemes for several churches including: Carrigaline Parish Church Co. Cork, St. Coca's Church Kilcock Co. Kildare, St. Augustine's Church Limerick and the Chapel at the National Centre for The Deaf Drumcondra Dublin.
I have also designed and facilitated courses for the primary, vocational and third level education sector and have prepared and presented several programmes for television and video through my work as an artist. I have exhibited in a variety of solo and group shows and am a past winner of the 'Best Painting Award' at Wexford Arts Centre Lions Club Open Exhibition.
I have successfully produced a series of high quality Digital and Giclee Prints of my artwork and have recently launched an exclusive collection of vibrant colourful Greeting Cards and Bookmarks (taken from my original artwork), into various outlets in Wexford and more recently in Dublin.
